Tradition
and Quality |
according
to ancient writings, the Montilla-Moriles wine producing tradition dates as far
back as the 8th Century B.C., and pre Greco-Roman Mediterranean civilizations.
José Antonio Navarro employed this ancient traditional process, and combined it
together with contemporary technology of his day to found the winery.
Our
wines, elaborated with the best grapes found in the vineyards of the
Montilla-Moriles region, are the fruit of a characteristically soft and dense
terrain, giving the wine its own special personality, a consequence of the union
between a marvellous raw material and the most advanced techniques that our time
has to offer in order to fill your glass with that unforgettable colour, aroma
and taste.
The
“Finos” are typically pale in colour, dry and slightly bitter. The
“Amontillados” are commonly known for their agreeably sharp hazelnut aroma and
dark amber colour and old gold. The full body and richly smooth texture are
unmistakeable in the “Oloroso” whose colour is reminiscent of dark mahogany.
Finally, the “Pedro Ximénez” is characteristically naturally sweet and its
colour is a dark ruby.
All these are elaborated with the care that only a father can offer, from our
Fino Andalusia to the Amontillado Viejo Navarro, without forgetting our Pedro
Ximénez and Oloroso Navarro. When you take a sip of our wines, a most pleasant
and comforting aftertaste of centuries of tradition, the exceptional care with
which it is elaborated, and why not, the guarantee of our quality lingers.
Cheers!
